Joseph Pulvirenti

Joseph Pulvirenti is a seasoned physician specializing in infectious diseases, currently serving as an infectious disease consultant at Beacon Medical since July 2017. Previously, Joseph held prominent positions including chairman of infectious diseases at St. Anthony Hospital in Chicago from October 2013 to July 2015, and directed HIV inpatient services at Cook County Health and Hospitals System from April 1988 to March 2013, where Joseph also acted as Principal Investigator for multiple HIV medication studies. Joseph's international experience includes serving as a senior medical doctor for the Nsanje project with Médecins Sans Frontières in Malawi, focusing on HIV and TB prevention initiatives. Joseph earned a medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science between 1978 and 1982.
