Head of Strategic Material Development at Heliatek

Christian Kirchhof has extensive work experience in various positions within the engineering and technology industry. Christian is currently the Head of Strategic Material Development at Heliatek since November 2020. Prior to this, they held roles at Heliatek as the Head of Films and Components Development from October 2019 to November 2019, Manager Materials from November 2018 to September 2019, and Ingenieur Back End from August 2017 to October 2018.

Before joining Heliatek, Christian worked as a Professional Freelancer from January 2017 to November 2019. Christian also served as a Project Manager at Fraunhofer FEP from April 2015 to December 2016, primarily working on the Flexible Electronics: flex+ Project.

Christian's previous experience includes roles as a Branch Manager at Zumtobel Holding GmbH BS Dresden from November 2014 to March 2015, Group Leader R&D/authorized representative at Tridonic Dresden GmbH & Co. KG from August 2013 to November 2014, and Group Leader Product Development/authorized representative at LEDON OLED Lighting GmbH & Co. KG from December 2009 to August 2013.

Earlier in their career, Christian worked as an Engineering Project Manager at Fraunhofer Institut für Photonische Mikrosysteme (IPMS) from April 2006 to December 2009, and as an Asset Portfolio Manager at Berliner Bank / Bankgesellschaft Berlin from May 1998 to September 2001.

Christian Kirchhof received their first degree, a Graduate of Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann), in the field of Financial Analysis, Banking, and Real Estate Industry from Leipzig University. Christian attended this university from 1993 to 1998. Later, from 2001 to 2006, they pursued their second degree, a Graduate Engineer of Microsystems Technology (FH Diplom-Ingenieur), at the University of Applied Sciences, specializing in Microsystems Technology.
