Dana Wyman, Ph.D., is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist I at Helix since June 2020. Previously, Dana worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at the same organization and served as a PhD Student and Graduate Researcher in the Ali Mortazavi Lab at the University of California, Irvine from September 2016 to June 2020, focusing on software development for long-read transcriptome data analysis. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Michael Snyder Lab at Stanford University, where Dana used computational methods to examine RNA editing and regulatory variation, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Joseph Lipsick Lab at Stanford, studying gene regulation in Drosophila melanogaster. Dana also gained early research experience as a Summer Research Assistant in the Ali Mortazavi Lab. Academic credentials include a PhD in Mathematical, Computational, and Systems Biology from UC Irvine, a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Stanford University.
