Gerhard van Rooyen

Gerhard van Rooyen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Gerhard began their career at Rosspienaar Chartered Accountants, where they worked as an Accounting Trainee from January 2000 to December 2002. Gerhard then advanced to the role of Audit Manager from January 2003 to August 2004.

In 2004, Gerhard joined Columbus Stainless (Pty) Ltd as a Tax & Reporting Accountant, where they worked until October 2006. Gerhard then moved to Uranium One Inc. as a Finance Manager from November 2006 to December 2007.

Gerhard joined Sud-Chemie in December 2007 as the Group Finance Manager, a position they held until March 2012. Gerhard then transitioned to HellermannTyton South Africa, starting as a Financial Director in May 2012. Gerhard later took on the role of Director: Finance & Operations in April 2019 and, most recently, became the Managing Director in August 2022.

Throughout their career, Gerhard has gained valuable experience in finance, accounting, auditing, and managerial roles.

Gerhard van Rooyen's education history includes several degrees and diplomas in the field of accounting and finance. In 2000-2001, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. In 2002, they pursued further studies and completed a BCompt Hons (Accounting Science) degree from the same university. In 2003, Gerhard van Rooyen obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Auditing from the University of South Africa. Finally, in 2004, they attended SAICA (SA Institute of Chartered Accountants) to obtain a CA(SA) degree in Accounting and Finance.
