Sharanya Bandla

Sharanya Bandla is a Backend Engineer at Alma since July 2022, and previously served as a Software Engineer at ExxonMobil from August 2019 to March 2022, where notable achievements included the development of machine learning models, a data aggregation web app in Angular, and an automated CI/CD pipeline. Sharanya interned at IBM as an AI Software Engineer, focusing on deep neural networks for protein-ligand binding prediction, and held a Computer Science Intern position at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, enhancing WordPress plugin functionality and developing an iOS app. Additionally, a research internship at the University of Pittsburgh involved creating an automated system for machine learning hyper-parameter optimization. Sharanya holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Bioinformatics from the University of Pittsburgh, obtained in 2019.
