Elsa Garrandes

Elsa Garrandes has over three decades of work experience in the banking industry. Elsa started their career as an Assistant BSA / Compliance Officer at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico in 1984 and then moved on to work as a Compliance Officer at Republic National Bank and Kislak National Bank. In 1996, they joined Bank of Boston as a Senior Compliance Officer. From 1998 to 2010, Elsa worked at JAG & Associates, Inc. in a Risk Management role. Elsa then served as the Chief BSA / Compliance Officer at Floridian Community Bank, Inc. from 2010 to 2014. In 2015, Elsa joined Helm Bank USA as the SVP, BSA/AML Officer, and later became the Chief Risk Officer in 2018. Elsa'sextensive experience in risk management, compliance, and BSA/AML make their a valuable asset in the banking industry.

Elsa Garrandes achieved their first BA degree in Education from Universidad de Puerto Rico, where they studied from 1971 to 1976. Following this, they pursued another BA degree, this time in Accounting, at Universidad Interamericana - San Juan, PR, from 1981 to 1984.
