Michael Poropat has extensive work experience in the legal and eSports industries. From 2012 to 2014, they were an intern for the Video Game Bar Association, where they contacted and managed members, drafted and edited news and media for the website, and contacted prospective members. From 2014 to 2015, they were the President and CEO of New Meta eSports, where they represented eSports players and broadcasters in their contract negotiations, branded clients, and secured sponsorship deals. In 2015, they opened The Law Offices of Michael J. Poropat, where they worked to protect eSports professionals and their brands. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Attorney at Picciano & Scahill, P.C., where they defended insurance companies on third party cases in arbitration and litigation forums. From 2020 to 2022, they were an Attorney at Gabriel & Moroff, P.C. In 2022, they became a Founding Partner at Stockman & Poropat, PLLC. Michael also held the role of Director of Business Development and Public Relations at HELM Systems from 2015 to 2020, where they advised the company on business decisions, directed game development, and managed the company's public relations.
Michael Poropat received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Florida Atlantic University between 2007 and 2011. Michael then attended New York Law School between 2011 and 2014.
