Iris Fischer has a diverse work experience in the field of genomics and plant biology. Iris started their career as a Postdoc at the INSTITUT DE RECHERCHE POUR LE DEVELOPPEMENT in 2012, working there for almost two years. Following that, they worked as a Postdoc at Inra - Institut national de la recherche agronomique (France) for a short period in 2014. Iris then joined Helmholtz Zentrum Munchen in 2017 as a Postdoc in the Plant Genomes and Systems Biology department. In 2019, they took on the role of Research Assistant at the same institution before becoming the Head of Operations at the Institute of Translational Genomics.
Iris Fischer received their Master's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in 2007. Iris then went on to complete their PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in Evolutionsbiologie at the same university from 2008 to 2012.
