Brian Agatonovic

Brian Agatonovic is currently a DevOps Engineer at Help Scout. Prior to that, they were a DevOps at Remesh from January 2020 to January 2021. There, they automated the build to deploy pipeline with Jenkinsfiles, switched all Jenkins jobs to DSL using the Seed Plugin, and implemented SSO via SAML or OAuth to enhance security and end-user experience. Brian also used terraform to deploy cloud resources, providing reliable and repeatable provisioning.

Before working at Remesh, Brian was a Solutions Architect at The We Project Inc. (TWPI-Inc.) from January 2019 to January 2020. There, they created a Jenkins DSL repo with a seed job, and jobs stored in git were dynamically generated based on input passed to the seed job (branch, etc.). Brian also wrote Ansible + Python code for Proxmox to allow syncing of users in an active directory group to Proxmox along with RBAC. Additionally, Brian did cool stuff with Docker and Kubernetes on powerful hardware. Brian deployed a SuperMicro Nvidia HGX2 with Ubuntu 19.04 running CUDA 10.0, which was managed with Ansible. Furthermore, they setup a Kubernetes GPU cluster using powerful Nvidia hardware. Brian was also responsible for provisioning vms (Proxmox) or physical nodes running Windows, Ubuntu, and CentOS. Brian helped drive continuous improvement of DNS and other network capability. Brian used Ansible, GitLab CI, and Jenkins for automation, among other tools. Lastly, they implemented a Nifi cluster deployed by Ansible which deployed a zookeeper cluster and registry - all with SSL and LDAP auth (where applicable). At TWPI-Inc., Brian worked in distributed development with teams in multiple timezones and had a great time doing all of it!

Brian Agatonovic's educational career includes studying computer science at Cuyahoga Community College. Brian has also earned certifications from Red Hat in EX413 Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Server Hardening, RHCE, and RHCSA.
