Desmond Abono

Desmond Abono (M.S.c) is currently employed as an Avdelingsingeniør at Helse Førde since May 2024. Previously, Desmond worked as a Laboratory Engineer at Stavanger University Hospital from February 2021 to August 2023, focusing on DNA/RNA isolation and FFPE sectioning for various staining techniques in the Quantitative and Molecular Pathology department. Prior experience includes serving as a Shift Lead at TIER Mobility, where responsibilities involved troubleshooting and maintaining scooters from August 2019 to February 2021. Desmond holds a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with a specialization in Cancer Immunology from the University of Oslo (UiO) and Oslo University Hospital (2017-2019) and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Oslo (UiO) and UC Berkeley (2014-2017). Additional educational background includes an International Baccalaureate diploma from St Olav videregående skole (2012-2014) and Norwegian language studies at Sola VGs (2010-2012).
