John Roger Andersen holds a distinguished academic position as a Professor in Nursing Science at Høgskulen på Vestlandet since August 1995, with previous roles as Høgskulelektor/Førsteamanusensis and PhD candidate. Andersen leads a research group at Helse Førde and serves as a postdoctoral researcher from February 2012, while also advising on patient-reported data at the National Service Environment for Medical Quality Registers since January 2015. Prior to these roles, Andersen worked as a nurse at Helse Førde from June 1993 to August 1995. Educationally, Andersen earned a PhD in Nursing Science from the University of Bergen, where a Master's degree in the same field was also obtained, alongside various advanced qualifications in practical pedagogy, practice supervision, and health and social administration from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.
