Astrid Bjerkås

Astrid Bjerkås has a diverse work experience spanning various communication roles. Astrid started their career as an Information Officer and later became a Media Analyst at Observer Norway. Astrid then worked as an Information Manager and Chief Editor at the Norwegian Veterinary Association. Bjerkås also had a period of freelance work, where they were involved in sub-editing, executive assistance, and content management for various organizations. Astrid later joined the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food Safety, initially as a Communications Advisor and later as the Head of Communications. After that, Bjerkås worked as a Communications Advisor at NINA - Norsk institutt for naturforskning, specializing in communication for research centers focused on environmentally friendly energy. Astrid also authored a book during their time at Humanist forlag. Currently, Bjerkås holds the position of Senior Communications Advisor at Helsedirektoratet.

Astrid Bjerkås began their education in 1990 at Persbråten, where they obtained their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. From 1994 to 1997, they attended the University of Oslo (UiO) and earned their Cand.mag degree in media science, education studies, philosophy, and ethics. In 1997, Astrid furthered their education at the University of Westminster, where they completed their MA degree in Communication in 1998.
