Mathieu Gonzalez

Mathieu Gonzalez is an experienced AI Research Engineer with expertise in computer vision and deep learning. Currently employed at Helsing since October 2022, Mathieu previously held the same position at IRT b-com from October 2019 to October 2022 while also pursuing a PhD in Computer Vision focusing on Semantic Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM). Mathieu's experience includes an internship at IRT b-com developing deep learning algorithms for AR applications in surgery, as well as projects involving wind turbine detection and speech recognition using deep learning techniques during studies at INSA Toulouse. Additional roles include consulting on algorithm optimization for the traveling salesman problem and a machine learning internship analyzing factory settings at Puratos. Mathieu holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Université de Rennes I and a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Mathematics and Computer Science from INSA Toulouse.
