Patric Masar

Patric Masar has extensive experience in the field of IT and digital transformation. Patric is currently working at Helvetas as the Director of Digital Transformation & IT, overseeing the organization's IT services and driving digital transformation initiatives. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of IT Services at Helvetas, where they managed a team and supported development cooperation and humanitarian response efforts.

Before joining Helvetas, Patric worked at Zürcher Kantonalbank as the Platform Service Management IT Infrastructure, where they played a key role in managing IT infrastructure and services. Patric also served as the Business Manager Data Center & Cisco Sales Engineer at Ingram Micro Switzerland, gaining experience in sales and business management in the IT industry.

Earlier in their career, Patric worked at PH Zurich as the Leiter Core-Services, leading a team responsible for IT infrastructure, data center operations, and core applications. Patric played a key role in a project to set up and relocate IT services to a new campus. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Security Officer at Swiss Life, a Network Engineer at UUNET, and a Network Manager at Swisscom.

Patric also earned an eMBA in Service Excellence from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (2011-2013) and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Information Technology from HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich (2003-2007) and Hochschule fuer Wirtschaft Zuerich (2003-2007). Furthermore, they obtained additional certifications, including a Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google Cloud (2020), AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (2020), and various other certifications in cloud computing, data science, and project management.
