Achim Baumstark

Achim Baumstark is the current Chief Technology Officer at Helvetia Gruppe. Achim has held this position since October 2013. Prior to that, they were the Head of IT at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. from March 2009 to October 2013. Before that, they were the IT Director Sales at Daimler from January 2006 to December 2009.

Baumstark has also held the position of CTO at Helvetia Insurance and CIO Europe/Asia Pacific at DaimlerChrysler Financial Services. Achim was also the Managing Director at DaimlerChrysler Services IT, UK from January 2000 to December 2005. Prior to that, they were a Senior Program Manager at debis Systemhaus from January 1995 to December 2000.

Baumstark started their career as a Project Manager at Accenture from January 1992 to December 1995.

Achim Baumstark has a MSc in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), a Diploma in Insurance Management from the University of St Gallen, and a BWL from the Business Management - St. Gallen Business School. Achim also has a PMP from the Project Management Institute.
