Karen Patterson- Howard

Karen Patterson-Howard, MHA, currently serves as a Teacher at Hempstead ISD since August 2023 and has been a Substitute Teacher for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and Houston ISD since August 2022 and August 2021, respectively. With previous experience as a Substitute Teacher at Klein ISD in 2021, Karen has designed lesson plans that align with state guidelines, collected data for ARDs and IEPs, and ensured student accommodations. Prior to entering education, Karen held various roles in sales, including Inside Sales at Dwyer Industries, and as a Sales Representative at Edgen Murray, focusing on the oil and energy industry. Additionally, work experience includes managing healthcare services at ACW Investments LLC and resolving accounts for United Recovery Systems. Karen holds a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology from Park University and has foundational education from Dillard University and Seton Academy.
