Rafael John Alan Hines has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Rafael started their career in 2006 with Brunello Cucinelli, where they worked in international sales until August 2007. Rafael then joined Polo Ralph Lauren as an Assistant Buyer, staying with the company until 2010.

In 2010, Hines moved on to Coach, where they served as a Senior Associate. Rafael played a key role in developing brand strategy and spearheading business development efforts in France and the Middle East. Rafael also led long-range forecast models and distributor negotiations.

From 2012 to 2014, Hines worked at Michael Kors as a Planner for the international market. Rafael handled financial and assortment planning for wholesale and retail stores in Asia, Latin America, and Travel Retail locations. Rafael also collaborated with strategic partners to identify expansion opportunities.

Hines then joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2014 as an Investment Banking Associate for the Consumer & Retail Group, a position they held until 2017.

In 2017, Hines joined Barneys New York as the Director of Strategic Planning (Digital), later being promoted to Senior Director of Digital Strategy & Business Intelligence and then Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development. Rafael oversaw the eCommerce division, managed product teams, and led strategic initiatives, including a partnership with Alibaba.

From 2020 to 2022, Hines worked at Emerald as the Vice President of Strategy. Rafael led the acquisition of PlumRiver and oversaw its integration into the company. Rafael also conducted analysis on growth sectors and acquisition opportunities in the trade show industry.

In 2022, Hines joined Elastic Suite, initially as the SVP of Growth & Strategy, and later becoming the General Manager. Rafael'srole involved driving growth and overseeing the strategic direction of Elastic Suite.

Most recently, Hines joined Hemster in 2023, taking on the position of Chief Operating Officer.
