Shamsul I. Baker, AICP has extensive work experience in transportation planning. Shamsul is currently serving as the Director of Transportation Planning for the Henry County Board of Commissioners since December 2019. Prior to this role, they worked for the Hall County Government where they held positions such as Transportation Planning Manager from March 2016 to November 2019 and Senior Transportation Planner from July 2013 to March 2016. Before joining the Hall County Government, Shamsul worked as a Transportation Planner II for the Georgia Department of Transportation from February 2007 to June 2013.
Shamsul I. Baker, AICP received their Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University. Shamsul then pursued further education at the same institution and obtained their Master's degree in City and Regional Planning. Additionally, they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Kennesaw State University. In June 2016, Baker obtained the AICP certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners.
