Caryn Reed-Hendon

Caryn Reed-Hendon, Ph.D., currently serves as the Manager of Diversity and Inclusion for the Medical Group at Henry Ford Health since December 2024. Previously, Caryn was the Founding Director at Lawrence Technological University and served on the Graduate School Advisory Board at Oakland University. Caryn's extensive experience includes providing leadership as the Founding Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where significant initiatives were implemented to support the recruitment of underrepresented students and enhance academic success. Caryn has held various roles, including Board of Trustees Member for The Tyler Clementi Foundation and Assistant Director for Orientation Programs at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Caryn holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Oakland University and has additional degrees from Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan.
