Retha Powers

Retha Powers has held various editorial roles, including VP and Executive Editor at Henry Holt & Company, Editor at Large, Assistant Director at CCNY Publishing Certificate Program, and Executive Editor at Bookspan. With experience in conceptual editing, book proposals development, and anthologies editing, Powers is also an Adjunct Lecturer in Introduction to Publishing. Additionally, Powers has worked as a writer and editor, serving as the General Editor for Bartlett's Familiar Black Quotations. Powers holds an M.F.A in Creative Writing from Goddard College and has an educational background from Howard University.
