Alex Rose-Parfitt

Alex Rose-Parfitt serves on the Strategic Advisory Board at the Henry Royce Institute, the UK's National Centre for Research and Innovation of Advanced Materials, since August 2023. Currently the Engineering Director at Raytheon UK since January 2017, Alex has previous experience as an Engineering Director at QinetiQ and held various roles at BAE Systems from 2003 to 2015, including Technology Strategy Manager and Capability Technology Leader for Materials. Additionally, Alex has acted as an Independent Science and Technical Adviser to the UK government between 2013 and 2015, providing insights into strategic requirements for R&D programs. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biology and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath and a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Reading.
