Andrew Pollard

Andrew Pollard is a Principal Research Scientist and Strategy Lead at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), where research focuses on the structural and chemical characterization of graphene and related 2D materials, aimed at facilitating industrial commercialization. Pollard also serves as the Science Area Leader of the Surface Technology Group at NPL, emphasizing the metrology of surfaces, interfaces, and nanomaterials. Additionally, Pollard is a Metrologist in Residence at the Henry Royce Institute, supporting interdisciplinary research projects, and holds a position as a Visiting Academic at the University of Manchester, fostering collaborations in graphene and 2D material research. Academic credentials include a PhD in Nanoscience and an MSci in Physics, both from the University of Nottingham.
