Richard Dawidek

Richard Dawidek is an experienced professional in advanced metals processing and metallurgy, currently serving as the Research and Business Engagement Lead at the Henry Royce Institute since March 2022. Prior to this role, Richard held positions such as Technical Manager at Norsk Hydro and Process/Quality Engineer - Metallurgist at Luxfer MEL Technologies, where responsibilities included process optimization in the medical device sector. Richard also undertook PhD research at The University of Sheffield, focusing on emergent behavior in ferromagnetic materials, and contributed as a graduate teaching assistant. Richard's early career included a co-op position at DePuy Orthopaedics, gaining valuable exposure to the medical device manufacturing environment. Richard holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Sheffield.
