Royce Technology Platform Lead at Henry Royce Institute

Robert House is an Associate Professor of Materials at the University of Oxford since August 2021 and a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow, where Robert leads a research group focused on developing sustainable, earth-abundant battery materials. Additionally, Robert House serves as a Fellow of The ZERO Institute and a Non-Tutorial Fellow of Keble College, both from September 2024. Since January 2022, Robert House has been the Royce Technology Platform Lead at the Henry Royce Institute and previously held the position of Junior Research Fellow at Linacre College, Oxford, from October 2020 to September 2022. With a background as a Faraday Institution Research Fellow from 2019 to 2021 and a Postgraduate DPhil Student at the University of Oxford, Robert House specialized in oxygen redox chemistry in Li-ion and Na-ion battery materials under Professor Peter Bruce's supervision. Robert's early experience includes an analyst role at The Carbon Trust, supporting offshore wind energy innovation. Robert House holds a DPhil in Materials from the University of Oxford and degrees in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
