Douwe Wijngaarden

Douwe Wijngaarden currently serves as Legal Counsel at GroenLeven since June 2022. Prior to this role, Wijngaarden worked as Bedrijfsjurist at UNIS Group from March 2018 to June 2022 and held the position of Jurist at Stichting Achmea rechtsbijstand between May 2014 and March 2018. Earlier experience includes a trainee role in legal advising at Eiffel and a position at ING Nederland as Medewerker achterstanden. Additionally, Wijngaarden worked as a legal advisor at Timpaan Welzijn and completed a brief internship at Bouma en Zwolle Advocaten. Academic qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) in Nederlands Recht with a specialization in Privaatrecht and arbeidsrecht, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Rechtsgeleerdheid, both obtained from the University of Groningen.
