Laura Conlon

Laura Conlon has a strong background in finance and accounting. Laura started their career as an accounts assistant at Tractech Inc from June 1999 to December 2001. Laura then joined Ahern & Co as an audit senior, where they worked for 10 years and gained experience as a financial controller. During their time there, they were responsible for reviewing trade debtors, implementing controls and procedures for credit and debt collection, and negotiating with banks for the restructuring of finances. Laura also worked closely with company directors and auditors to improve profitability and develop plans for various departments.

In 2012, Laura became a financial controller and office manager at McCormack Lms, overseeing the accounting function for two oil distribution companies. Laura developed and monitored key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepared monthly management packs.

In 2014, Laura joined Rosderra Irish Meats Group as a site financial accountant, where they were responsible for preparing weekly and monthly accounts for curing and cannery sites. Laura also conducted KPI monitoring and reviewed weekly yield analysis.

In 2019, Laura became a financial accountant and lean lead at Rosderra Farms Ul, where they actively participated in managing farms and driving production performance through the use of KPIs, lean tools, and visual data. Laura was also responsible for preparing weekly and monthly management accounts.

Most recently, Laura joined Herdwatch in February 2023 as a technical product manager.

Laura Conlon completed a Specialist Diploma in Quality Management - Lean Systems at the University of Limerick from 2020 to 2021. Laura also participated in executive education on Lean Business Excellence at Trinity Business School in 2018. There is no information provided regarding their education at Technological University Dublin or the Institute of Education. Laura obtained a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Law from the University of Galway. Laura also holds a Bachelor of Corporate Law degree from the National University of Galway. Additionally, Laura has obtained several certifications, including a Lean Black Belt from the University of Limerick in September 2021, Leading People and Teams from LBSPartners in April 2019, and Introduction to Lean Sigma Quality from the Institute of Technology, Sligo in December 2017.
