Thomas Gau

Thomas Gau is an experienced customs solutions expert, currently serving as the Head of Customs Solutions in Supply Chain Solutions at SupplyX, a member of the Otto Group, since September 2024. In this role, Thomas manages special customs solutions across Germany and Europe, focusing on processes such as Inward and Outward Processing, Temporary Importation Bonds, and the New Computerized Transit System, along with acting as a direct and indirect representative for DDP shipments. Prior to joining SupplyX, Thomas held the position of Head of Customs Solutions at HERMES INTERNATIONAL / Otto Group Logistik from January 2016 to September 2024, and served as a Senior Customs Consultant at Gerlach Zolldienste Germany from March 2013 to December 2015. Earlier, Thomas was the Customs Manager for Germany at Expeditors from December 2002 to February 2013, bringing extensive knowledge in foreign trade law and customs practices, along with a commitment to educating others through seminars on various customs-related topics.
