Alex Miller is currently a Senior Propulsion Engineer at Hermeus, a position they have held since 2020. Prior to this, they were a Graduate Researcher at the Ben T. Zinn Combustion Laboratory from 2011 to 2019. During this time, they also held a position as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Experimental Methodology at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2019 to 2020. In 2019, they were also a Crew Chief/Mechanical Specialist for the United States Soaring Team at the Junior World Gliding Championships. From 2011 to 2012, they were an Intern in the Fossil Power Group Performance Engineering at the Tennessee Valley Authority.
Alex Miller attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2013, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2016, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering in 2020.
