Matt Beane is the current Chief Commercial Officer at Heroes. Prior to this, they worked at Amazon from December 2013 to February 2022 as the Category Leader for WW Special Projects. Matt was responsible for leading all commercial functions, including vendor management, in-stock management and marketing, as well as overall commercial strategy such as selection, pricing and promotions.
From September 2007 to December 2013, Matt Beane worked at Tesco PLC as the Buying Manager for Group Food in Asia. In this role, they were responsible for designing, developing and sourcing a range of Grocery products to be supplied to Tesco's businesses in Thailand, Malaysia, China and South Korea. Matt's goal was to utilise their skill and scale to centralise own brand products in Asia and grow the Tesco brand whilst delivering a step change in quality and price. Matt established a buying model and logistics that served as the foundation of a rapid centralisation of buying in the region and found and developed key strategic partnerships with the supplier base for long term growth.
Matt Beane completed their Bachelor of Arts at the University of Southampton and then went on to Dr Challoners Grammar School.
