Machine Learning Scientist at Herophilus

Nicolas Casabianca is a Machine Learning Scientist at Herophilus since August 2022, where methodologies for computer vision tasks have been developed to enhance data analysis and support scientific discovery. Previously, Nicolas served as a Machine Learning Engineer at terrafuse and held a Research Affiliate position at Berkeley Lab. As a Graduate Research Intern at INSEP, research focused on predicting marathon performance for the Paris 2024 Olympics through Functional Data Analysis. Nicolas also contributed to optimization research on AB-testing during another internship at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Early experience includes a role as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at CMLA, implementing Lagrangian methods, and as a Teaching Assistant in Mathematics at Fénelon Sainte Marie. Nicolas holds a Master 2 (M2) in Mathematics, Data Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision from École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, gained between 2016 and 2020.
