Javier Huertas is a Mechanical Designer with extensive experience in the aerospace industry, currently working at Héroux-Devtek since February 2020, focusing on the mechanical design of landing gear and actuation systems. Prior experience includes a role at Akka Group North America, where Javier contributed similarly from September 2018 to January 2020. From May 2012 to August 2018, Javier served as a Senior Design Analyst at Groupe MECACHROME, leading the design of primary and secondary structures for the G7000/G8000. Javier also held a Configuration Manager position at Camaq, managing design processes for a Pratt & Whitney Canada engine retrofit on a Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft. Earlier in career, Javier was a Senior Business Analyst at Allianz, specializing in operational process design and optimization. Javier holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
