Jonathan Visagie has a strong background in engineering and design, with extensive experience in the aerospace and automotive industries. Jonathan most recently worked as the Chief of Design at Héroux-Devtek, a position they have held since October 2018. Prior to this role, they held various leadership positions at Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, including Engineering Group Leader from July 2012 to September 2018 and Senior Analysis Engineer from May 2011 to June 2012. Before that, they served as a Stress Engineer (FEA Specialist) at Denel Saab Aerostructures from November 2007 to May 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Optimal Energy from March 2006 to October 2007, where they focused on designing and analyzing suspension, steering, wheels, and brakes. Jonathan also worked as an Engineer at Optimal Energy and as an Analysis Engineer at the Center for Automotive Engineering (CAE).
Jonathan Visagie attended Stellenbosch University from 1998 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in MSc in Aero for six years. Jonathan then continued their education at the same university from 2002 to 2004, obtaining another MSc degree, this time in Mechanical Engineering.
