Tina Ugas has extensive experience in education, writing, and communication. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher for Kelly since October 2017, Ugas also operates as a Self-Employed Public Relations Writer and has contributed over three hundred articles as a Correspondent for Hersam Acorn Newspapers since June 2014. Prior roles include volunteering at Massaro Garden, reporting and photographing for the Online Journalism Project, and working as a Sales Representative and News Reporter for Shoreline News. Ugas co-owned Happy Earth Cleaning Service and held the position of Associate Director at Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven, managing volunteer services and community relationships. As a former History and Civics Teacher at the New Haven Adult Education Center, Ugas has a solid foundation in education. Ugas holds a Master's Degree in Political Science, Public Policy and Administration, and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University.
