Tamba started their career in 2000 as a Marketing and Public Relations Officer at the National Tourist Board of Sierra Leone. During their time there, they were responsible for inspecting and licensing tourist establishments, collecting and analyzing tourism data for the government, and organizing familiarization tours for tour operators in Europe. Tamba worked in this role until 2004.
