Joseph A. Serrano

Joseph A. Serrano has extensive work experience in various roles related to facilities management and safety. Joseph A. began their career in 1987 at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico as a Network Analyst, where they provided and maintained data communications for multiple branches and ATM machines. From 1995 to 1998, they worked as an Application Analyst in different companies, such as First Data, Concord EFS, STAR Systems, and Honor, where they maintained and updated software and hardware for financial institutions' Base24, EPS, Tandem Systems, and EFT networks. At Citicorp, they served as an Application Analyst in 1999, supporting government and private electronic cash card transactions and inquiries.

In 2004, Serrano transitioned into sales as a Regional Sales Manager for GuestTek Interactive Entertainment Ltd., focusing on introducing broadband technology to Caribbean hospitality industries. Joseph A. then joined 4M Building Solutions in 2007 as a Corporate Safety Manager and Operations Manager, overseeing safety programs and operations across multiple states.

In 2015, Serrano worked independently as an Operations/Safety Manager. Joseph A. later joined Orlando International Airport (MCO) in 2018, first as a Safety (Ops) Manager, responsible for developing a Safety department and implementing safety guidelines. Joseph A. then became a Senior Facilities Manager, overseeing daily operations and facility services at all air sides.

Serrano's most recent roles include Director of Custodial Services at Seattle University, where they provided leadership and direction for daily facilities operations, and Director of Facilities at Anderson University. Currently, they work at HES Facilities Management as the Director of Facilities and Plant Operations at South Florida State College, responsible for property maintenance, budget management, and regulatory compliance.

Throughout their career, Serrano has demonstrated expertise in facilities management, safety, and customer relationship management, fostering strong relationships with clients and staff. Joseph A. has also shown a commitment to continuous improvement, implementing preventative maintenance measures and energy conservation practices.
