Sebastien Matringe

Sebastien Matringe is an accomplished professional in petroleum engineering with extensive experience in reservoir management and subsurface technologies. Currently serving as Director of Bakken Subsurface, Director of Reservoir Engineering, and Principal Advisor for New Subsurface Technologies at Hess Corporation since March 2019, Sebastien has demonstrated leadership in innovation and optimization within the field. Previous roles include serving as a Manager of Reservoir Optimization & Analytics at Newfield Exploration and holding senior positions at QRI, where a team focused on creating new Reservoir Management technologies. Sebastien's early career involved significant contributions to major projects at Chevron and research roles at Stanford University and other prominent companies, complemented by a strong academic background with a PhD and MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University.
