Willie Thompson

Willie Thompson is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas sector with extensive experience at Hess Corporation since October 2010. Currently serving as Sr. Manager for Lean & Early Career Engineering, Willie drives transformative initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Previous roles at Hess include leadership of the Foundation Engineering Program, where responsibilities encompassed new engineer onboarding, recruiting, and professional development, as well as managing drilling operations with substantial budget oversight and successfully delivering numerous wells annually. Prior to Hess, Willie gained valuable experience at EOG Resources and Baker Hughes, with a strong educational foundation in Petroleum Engineering and Geological/Geophysical Engineering from Louisiana State University and the University of Mississippi, respectively.
