Job Title: Senior Instructor & Curriculum Development – Hg Academy

Experience Level: Senior

Location: Wanaque, New Jersey / Remote (frequent travel required)

The Senior Instructor & Curriculum Development is responsible for developing, growing, and improving the quality of the training delivered by Hg Academy (Labs) by overseeing curricula and training standards. You will coordinate instructional materials, supervise their implementation by instructors, and assess the curriculum's effectiveness in training learners to research, investigate and analyze publicly available information (PAI). As the Senior Instructor, you will craft the appropriate training agenda and experience with prospective clients, create and oversee the course structure and outline, conduct training courses, implement, and analyze course evaluations, and adjust the training and education programs for industry growth. This position ensures curriculum and training pathways meet appropriate frameworks and standards of excellence, meeting development, measurement, and certification requirements. The Senior Instructor & Curriculum Development reports to the Director of Education and Training.

 Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Create curriculum, training programs, implementation methods, and deliver course instruction for Hg in the OSINT/Online Investigation market resulting in business objectives and goals.
  • Create and manage training and assessment methods to measure and ensure learner success in Hg Academy's learning and development pathways.
  • Lead the development of Hg training courses and course materials for all training products and modalities.
  • Plan training curriculum scopes and sequences for professional development learning pathways according to industry demands, certification & training development certifying boards, and input from Hg internal practice leaders (senior instructors, student/learner population feedback, services practice leaders, etc.).
  • Instructor development through continued learning, limiting distractions, commitment to the learner and Hg's success, and continued study of OSINT/Online Investigation disciplines, topics, and trends.
  • Engage the community and collaborate with training institutions, educators, and administrators on the best methods to train, educate, and certify professionals and members.
  • Assist in business development, lead generation, client relations, and proposal and client writing for training opportunities.

Requirements: 

  • 7 to 10 years of investigative or analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing instructors, trainers, and programs.
  • Superb communication and teaching skills through writing, speaking, and interacting with individuals and groups at all levels.
  • Fundamental understanding and development of training strategies addressing needs, skill and knowledge gaps, ideal delivery methods, and competency assessments.
  • Advanced skills with computer programs and online resources for course development, delivery, project management, and other aspects of the job.
  • Training or education program management experience.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable in a collaborative and agile team environment.
  • Excellent judgment and people skills; ability to forge strong working relationships with stakeholders.

Preferred: 

  • Degree or advanced degree in education or related field of study.
  • Comfortable explaining and balancing training vs. education.
  • Possess Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) or Cyber Investigation Certification.
