Armen A. Avakian

Armen A. Avakian has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Armen A. currently serves as the Chief Business Development Officer at Hexact, a position they have held since November 2021. Additionally, they are a Founding Board Member at Hexact since May 2019.

Prior to their role at Hexact, Avakian worked as a Professor at the American University of Armenia starting in March 2012.

Before that, they co-founded Metrica Group in February 2019 and served as the Co-Founder & Chief Growth Hacker until November 2021. Metrica Group is a consulting company that helps partners create and capture more value through analysis, optimization, and strategic implementation.

Avakian also served as the Commercial Director at Danz, an Armenian sunglasses and optical glasses brand, from July 2020 to September 2021, where they focused on creating unique and high-quality products.

In August 2019, they were the Pavilion Director - Armenia at Expo 2020 Dubai, where they showcased the rich cultural heritage of Armenia.

From May 2017 to February 2019, Avakian held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Business Armenia, the National Authority for Investment and Export promotion in Armenia. During their tenure, the organization attracted over 70 million USD of foreign capital into the Armenian Economy.

Prior to that, they served as an Advisor to the Prime Minister at The Government of the Republic of Armenia from December 2016 to April 2018.

Avakian also has experience as a Partner at Garrison Group from April 2009 to April 2018, and as a Guest Lecturer at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in March 2014.

In addition, they served on the Board of Trustees at Erőforrás Foundation United Way Hungary from January 2010 to August 2011.

Armen A. Avakian started their education in 2002 at the Armenian State University of Economics, where they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Finance, General. Armen A. completed their studies in 2007. Later, in 2008, Armen attended Central European University and obtained an MBA degree with a specialization in Marketing in 2009.
