Dr. Sergey Ulyakhin

Chief Technology Officer - China & SEA at Hexagon Purus

Dr. Sergey Ulyakhin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Dr. Sergey began their career as a researcher at LG Chem - MSU Joint Laboratory, where they focused on developing experimental techniques for the production of electrochromic prototypes. Dr. Sergey then worked at LG Technology Centre, managing and supporting joint R&D projects between Russian research groups and LG Group companies.

Dr. Ulyakhin later served as the head of the Advanced Technologies Department and Project Director at ELTON Supercapacitors, where they led a startup project focused on commercializing asymmetric lead-acid supercapacitors for energy transmission and distribution networks.

Dr. Sergey then joined the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology as the Licensing and Technology Transfer Manager, responsible for managing the institute's intellectual property and technology portfolio.

Dr. Ulyakhin also worked at 2050.digital as a Project Leader, managing projects for the corporate venture fund and exploring new business opportunities across various industries.

Dr. Sergey then transitioned to the automotive sector, working as the Technology Management Lead for the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Project at Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd., and later as the Chief Innovation Officer at FTXT Energy Technology Co., Ltd., where they were responsible for technology and innovation management.

Dr. Sergey currently holds the role of Chief Technology Officer for China & SEA at Hexagon Purus, where they oversee technological advancements in the company's operations in China and Southeast Asia.

Dr. Sergey Ulyakhin received their Master's degree in Polymer Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in 2003. Dr. Sergey later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Solid State Physics (Materials Science) from the same institution, completing it in 2006. Dr. Sergey has also obtained additional certifications including Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) from Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc. in November 2017, Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) from ALLIANCE OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROFESSIONALS in February 2016, and APMP (equals PMP by PMI or Level D by IPMA) from the Association for Project Management in London, UK in May 2010.
