Benjamin Wood

Benjamin Wood has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being the Director of Research and Technology at Hexcel Corporation since January 2018. Prior to that, they worked at WMG, University of Warwick in various roles, including Project Manager, Innovation Manager, and Technology Transfer Specialist. In these roles, they managed multiple projects within the Energy Innovation Centre, delivered collaborative projects with UK SMEs, and specialized in multi-functional polymers. Benjamin also worked as a Research Engineer at WMG, where they focused on developing environmentally-friendly solutions for motorsport and worked on the WorldF3rst project, which produced an innovative Formula 3 racing car using sustainable technologies.

Benjamin Wood completed their education at the University of Warwick. Benjamin obtained an MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2002 to 2006. From 2006 to 2010, they pursued an EngD degree in Overcoming the Barriers to More Sustainable Motorsport at the same university.
