Ameya Marie Okamoto has been working in the creative field since 2014 when they became an Artist for AMEYA LLC. In 2018, they began working as an Americorps Member for City Year and a Mural Painter for TriMet. Ameya Marie also worked as a Camera Operator for Story Firm in 2015. In 2019, they became a Programs & Curatorial Intern for No Longer Empty and a Research Scholar for Laidlaw Foundation in 2020. In 2022, they will be a Project for Peace Fellow and the Director of Artistic Programming for The Artists Initiative for Revolution, as well as the Social Media Coordinator for Hey Jane.
Ameya Marie Okamoto has a diverse educational history. Ameya Marie began their education in 2007 at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, and continued until 2017. In 2014, they began attending Catlin Gabel School, and completed their studies there in 2018. In 2018, they began a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Sociology and Anthropology at Tufts University, and obtained their degree in 2023. In 2021, they began a Bachelor of Fine Arts - BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is currently enrolled. Additionally, in 2022 they obtained a Nail Tech License from A+ Nail School. Ameya Marie has also obtained several certifications, including ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, Tufts SBER IRB Members, Standard First Aid, CPR and AED, Youth Mental Health First Aid, Oregon Food Handlers License, Mental Health First Aid, safeTALK, and Babysitting First Aid Training.
