Luis Maldonado

Luis Maldonado has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2004 as an Advisor to the Managing Director at the International Monetary Fund. In 2009, they became a Director of Strategic Consulting in Financial Services at PwC, and in 2010 they were appointed Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at Bankia. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at IE Business School as a Professor and Managing Director at PwC-IE Business School Financial Sector Center. In 2017, they took on two roles at IFC - International Finance Corporation, as a Senior Advisor/Consultant in Climate Finance and Sustainability and as a Senior Digital Financial Services Specialist. In 2019, they became a Digital Finance Senior Consultant at The World Bank and a Board Member at Rebellion Pay. In 2020, they co-founded HeyTrade and became a Board Member at Beka Finance.

Luis Maldonado has a long and varied educational history. Luis started with a Degree in Law, ICADE E-3 from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in 1992-1997. Luis then received a Degree in Economy and Business Administration, ICADE E-3 from the same university in 1992-1998. In 1997-1998, they were granted an Erasmus Grant from Universit\u00e9 catholique de Louvain in IAG Louvain School of Management. In 1999, they received an Advanced Microeconomics certificate from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). From 1998-2000, they were a State Economist and Trade Expert, Government of Spain from T\u00e9cnico Comercial y Economista del Estado. In 2008-2009, they obtained a Certificate in Business Administration from Georgetown University. Finally, from 2007-2013, they earned a PhD in Economics from Universidad de Alcal\u00e1. In 2014, they completed the Global Senior Management Program (GSMP) from University of Chicago / IE Business School.
