Bruce Kaufman

Bruce Kaufman has over 15 years of diverse work experience in the technology industry. Bruce is currently serving as the Principal Software Engineer at Hi Marley since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Hi Marley from December 2018 to May 2022.

Before joining Hi Marley, Bruce worked at Western Digital as a Principal Engineer from May 2016 to December 2018. In this role, they led technology development and integration for the next generation Enterprise SSD platform, with a focus on flash management, signal processing, and data reliability features.

Bruce also gained valuable experience at SanDisk, where they held various positions from September 2013 to May 2016. As a Staff Hardware Engineer, they contributed to the development and debugging of multiple generations of flash transition layer firmware. Bruce also designed the high-level test process to validate endurance and performance at the system level.

Earlier in their career, Bruce worked at SMART Storage Systems as a Hardware Systems Engineer, responsible for system-level test development for high-speed, high-endurance Enterprise Solid State Drives. Bruce also worked at Smart Modular Technologies as an Electrical Design Engineer and Flash Design Group Coop, as well as at Hasbro as an Emerging Technologies Coop.
