Hamasa Ebady

Hamasa Ebady has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2023, they worked as an Asylee Outreach Program Manager at HIAS. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, they held multiple roles at Ethiopian Community Development Council, Inc., including Reception & Placement Program Manager, Economic Empowerment Programs Manager, and Employment Specialist. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Job Developer at Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area, where they maintained knowledge of the U. S. Resettlement Program and Refugee and Immigrant Services programs. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Community and Medical Interpreter and an Employment Specialist Intern at the International Rescue Committee. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Administrative Associate at Macy's from 2016 to 2017. They also have experience as a Gender Advisor at Development Alternative Inc. USAID from 2012 to 2013, an Emergency Field Supervisor at Norwegian Refugee Council from 2010 to 2012, and a Public Information Officer at Aria University from 2009 to 2010.

Hamasa Ebady completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from JMI University in New Delhi from 2006 to 2009. Hamasa also earned a Bachelor's of Science in Political Science from Jamia Millia Islamia during the same period. Later, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Diplomacy and International Development from the University of Kentucky.
