Oelmis Fermin

Oelmis Fermin has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. In 2017, they started as an Accounting Intern at Irinox Professional North America, where they worked until August 2017. In the same year, they also worked as a Chapel Intern at Marsh Chapel and as a Community Engagement Assistant at The Miller Center @ Hebrew College, both from September to December. Additionally, they served as a Student Manager at George Sherman Union Court from September 2017 to February 2018.

From 2019 to 2021, Oelmis worked as a Lead Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools. In 2021, they became a Humanities Teacher at St. Andrew's Episcopal School, where they worked until February 2022.

In 2022, Oelmis embarked on a new career path as a Sales Associate at Hilton Grand Vacations from May to September. Oelmis then joined HIAS as a Finance Coordinator from September 2022.

Oelmis Fermin completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle East and North Africa Studies at Boston University from 2016 to 2018. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs at The George Washington University, commencing in 2021 and expected to be completed in 2023.
