Ellen Julia Ellison, CFA, has a diverse and impressive work experience. Ellen Julia is currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Parkwood LLC. In 2022, they took on the role of Chief Investment Officer at HICO Ventures Ltd., the investment advisor to HICO Asset Management Ltd. Ellen Julia also became a Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman of X-Press Feeders Ltd., a major independent common carrier company.

Before these positions, Ellison held significant roles in the field of investment management. At the University of Illinois Foundation, they served as the Chief Investment Officer from 2013 to 2021. In this position, they managed a team and oversaw the daily management of the foundation's $2.5 billion pooled endowment portfolio.

Prior to that, Ellison was the Executive Director of Investments at the University of Miami from 2006 to 2012. Here, they managed two long-term, multi-asset class investment pools totaling $1.5 billion and worked closely with senior university administration, consultants, custodians, and investment managers.

Ellen Julia also has experience as the Chief Investment Officer at JIK Investment Services Inc., a family office with interests in commercial real estate and banking. In this role, they structured the investment platform for 32 separate reporting entities.

Ellison began their career at Fiduciary Trust Co. International, where they served as a Senior Vice President from 1992 to 2005. Here, they developed and managed the assets of a newly-acquired Florida operating subsidiary, built a team of portfolio managers/analysts, and grew the Miami assets to a significant level.

In terms of certifications, Ellen obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in June 1996. Additionally, they are a candidate for the CFA UK Level 4 Certificate in ESG Investing, which they pursued through the CFA Society of the United Kingdom.
