Nic Holmes

Nic Holmes is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in compliance certification, circuit design, and technical management. Currently serving as a Global Compliance Certification Engineer and Development Engineer at HID since March 2019, Nic specializes in designing intrinsic safety products for explosive atmospheres. Previously, Nic held the position of Research and Development Engineer/Manager at Sigma Communication Systems, overseeing a technical team and managing projects related to mining and railway communication systems. Nic's career includes roles as a Sales Engineer at Emcom Africa, where responsibilities encompassed radio network design for South African Police Services, and as an Avionics Engineer at Haida Avionics, focusing on aircraft communication and navigation systems. Nic holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Durban University of Technology and a Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.
