Kylie Mohr is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in environmental and political reporting. Currently serving as a Correspondent at High Country News since July 2021, Kylie contributes to magazines and online stories focused on the human and natural communities of the West. Previously, during a Reporting Fellowship at E&E News, Kylie reported on public lands, climate change, and the effects of federal policy on Western landscapes. Kylie holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Journalism from the University of Montana and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from Georgetown University. Kylie's diverse background includes roles at Jackson Hole News&Guide, NPR, Teton Gravity Research, CNN, and in the press office of U.S. Senator Patty Murray.
