Solai Valliappan

Solai Valliappan has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. In 2017, Solai worked as a Tech Investor & Adviser at a tech investment & advisory company. During the same year, they also served as a Business Adviser for High Earth Orbit Robotics. In 2018, Solai became a Mentor at EnergyLab, and in 2021, they took on the role of Mentor & Coach at Startmate. Solai also worked as a Tech Investor at Tiger Financial Group from 2020 to 2022. In 2020, they served as a Researcher and Statistician for Sydney Women's Fund & Be Kind Sydney. Additionally, Solai had a role as a Group Treasury at Stilmark Group from 2017 to 2019. They also have experience in Zurich Financial Services Australia, where they worked in various roles, including Multi Line Deal Manager, Strategic Assistant to the CEO, and Senior Actuarial Analyst from 2009 to 2017. Currently, Solai is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Catalysr - Accelerator for Migrants & Refugees from October 2022 onwards. Solai has also been a 2020 Board Observer for The Observership Program from January 2020 to December 2020.

Solai Valliappan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Actuarial Studies and Finance, from UNSW. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) and Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA) from the Actuaries Institute Australia. Solai Valliappan has also completed the VC Catalyst program at the Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship. Prior to these educational experiences, they attended Sydney Girls High School.
